I thought I'd grown out of Pokémon, but seeing your art makes me miss playing Pkmn Yellow.

Ash's line, "Dammit, Pikachu!"... pure gold!! I swear, censorship is the only reason he didn't curse at Team Rocket ^.^

When 4Kids brought the Pokemon anime to America, they made changes to it because parents here are very sensitive. They took out anything parents might not want their children to see. So in any anime that is imported that are going to be shown to children, any swear words, sexual references, and most violence are taken out. Sometimes entire episodes are canceled, sometimes they change the words when they translate, and sometimes they airbrush the picture to cover up or replace anything they don't want to show.
